Meredith Kercher謀殺案

Meredith Kercher，英國女學生到義大利佩魯賈交換學生，但在她的房間內發現被人殺死了，衣衫不整，脖子有嘞痕，身中數刀。檢察官起訴一位路人象牙海岸黑人，一位美國女室友及她的義大利男友。黑人最先坦承犯案性侵害，所以先被判刑，但他事後說那對情侶是幫兇，在他取得減刑的同時也簽署不能再到法院上訴的協議，所以他的後來提供的證詞將不被採納。

檢方一開始推斷，英國女學生跟美國女室友平時就有摩擦，在一次口角後美國女室友不小心將她殺害，她的男友隨後將現場布置成性侵害案件。但美國女室友在偵訊時爆料出她打工的酒吧老闆將被害者性侵害，因為那天晚上酒吧老闆有發訊跟她說要約出來見面，酒吧老闆被關了一陣子後才發現是象牙海岸路人做的。(跟媽媽嘴的有點像，可憐的老闆，酒吧還關門一陣子)。美國女室友事後宣稱當時被偵訊時太驚嚇了，所以意識混亂。

象牙海岸的路人偵訊時表示之前就注意到這英國女學生，所以美國女室友邀她去迷姦英國女學生時，他直接答應。但在一半時，女生醒來並且掙扎，他失手將她嘞死。(這裡法醫驗屍說是被刀刺死，證詞有瑕疵)事後他也改口說是那對情侶將英國女學生多捅幾刀，將現場布置成強盜現場。

而辯方律師策略是攻擊檢警採證過程有瑕疵，程序不符。因此在2011年第二審時，美國女室友及他的義大利男友被釋放。但判決書上說法院認為還有共犯，但仍不知道是誰。整件事像羅生門，大家各說各話。

美國女室友釋放後返回美國，但也沒參加2014年三審審判。現在審判結果這對情侶有罪，義大利男友被抓去關，但美國女友仍在美國拒絕回義大利服刑。

這是涉及多國的刑事案件，所以當時媒體追很大。在來，義大利的政治人物，跟台灣的一樣，會趁此炒作新聞增加曝光率，所以給與美國女室友許多特權。而美國疑似有公關公司幫美國女室友製造好形象，當時在網頁上，看到的這美國女室友都是正面新聞。

台灣是採法官自由心證的制度，沒陪審團。所以比較不會有這些宣傳活動。
